Our Framework
We are wired to inspire.
We inspire. Individually and as a community.
When we think about the word inspire, we probably think about times when we’ve felt filled with the encouragement, creativity, and ability to do something or feel something because of the ways that someone else showed up for us. Or maybe we think about times that we’ve provided this experience of feeling sturdy, able, encouraged, and “bigger than” the situation to someone else. Feeling inspired often feels exciting. Invigorating. Creative. Liberating.
Inspire is also a medical term that means to inhale. To breathe in. To physically move something outside of yourself into your body and being. And when we inspire–breathe in–clean air, our bodies are nourished; our minds are sharpened; and we’re better able to navigate the moment.
repairenting community, let’s be inspired. And let’s inspire one another.
Our kids are soaking up everything we do. Let’s help them breathe in what they need to have nourished bodies, sharp minds, and tools to navigate the moment.

Let’s Do This Thing Together
Creative Expression: Inhale Your Own Inspiration
Hey there, wonderful parent and person in your own right.
Let’s practice finding our inspiration.
We invite you to try out the following (or whatever part(s) resonate with you):
- Get something to write on and something to write with. Keep them close by; we’ll use them in a few minutes.
- Close your eyes and focus on your breath. Let your breathing happen naturally, however your body is in relationship to your breath right now. There’s no right way to breathe. Let your body do what it does to support you. Allow yourself to tune in, one breath at a time.
- When you’re ready, open your eyes. Welcome back to this present moment, friend.
- Write the word “more” on whatever you chose to write on. Be as bold as you want: write “more” big, bold, shiny, glittery, with flames and unicorns and crocodiles and donuts coming out of it…whatever you want. Write “more” like you mean it, whatever that means to you.
- Spend a few minutes thinking about what you want more of, and write them down around your “more”. This might be a good time to check out the feelings when there’s connection and needs sections of this website.
- Choose one or two things you identified and be curious as you wonder what the feeling or need might smell like. Does belonging smell like your favorite food? Does curiosity smell like freshly-dug wet dirt? Maybe the feeling or need doesn’t have a smell, and that’s okay. Does it maybe have a sound? Or a taste?
- When you’re ready, close your eyes again and breathe as you think about what you identified: feelings, needs, and senses identified with them. If you can, give yourself a couple of minutes to be here, in this present moment, with clarity and warmth.
