repairenting presents: noticing, naming, and nurturing love

One of the neuroscientific tools we teach and practice at repairenting is getting to know and name our needs. It’s a very human thing: having needs. When our minds have clarity about what our current needs are, our bodies experience a greater sense of sturdiness and calm and our minds can get more creative about meeting those needs.
repairenting’s February course is focused on one of the most media-saturated needs that people experience outside of movie-theater rom-coms: love. This month, we’ll celebrate and honor love where you see it. Perhaps it’s a teacher that saw you when you were just a little one; perhaps it’s a barista who knows your order, an auntie whose eyes light up when you walk in the room, or a puppy whose tag wails wildly because you are there.
